Gaia Angelini, Policy and Project Director
With over thirteen years of experience on a wide-range of EU environmental, biodiversity and animal welfare policy and law, Gaia is an expert in strategic campaigning, political advocacy and EU decision-making.
Gaia worked for EU institutions (the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Economic and Social Committee) and international NGOs (IFAW, Oceana). She has also been providing strategic political support to a variety of national and international NGOs and companies. In this framework, Gaia is wilderness advocate for the European Wilderness Society. Her extensive stakeholder network includes a wide-range of representatives from the non-profit, profit, government, EU and donor world.
Gaia holds a University degree in Political Science with a specialisation in international and European law (Italy), a Master degree in management of NGOs (UK) and a Post-graduate degree in environmental decision-making (UK). Gaia is fluent in English and French and she is passionate about animals.
